Mauricio Rojas Cartín is an extinguished professional in the field of Business Administration, with a solid academic background that includes a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in Public Accounting from the University of Costa Rica. In addition, he has specialized in various fields, including the Program Expertise in Telecommunications Regulation of the Autonomous University of Central America and a specialization in Reform and Modernization Processes of the Postal Sector, obtained in Brasilia, Brazil, through the Universal Postal Union.
With an enriching professional career, Rojas Cartín has held highly responsible roles. During his tenure as Commercial Manager at Correos de Costa Rica between 2009 and 2015, he successfully led the company’s commercial transformation. Subsequently, he assumed the position of General Manager for four years, a period in which the entity achieved the highest profits in its history.
In the period between January 2020 and June 2022, he held the role of Telecommunications Manager at the Costa Rican Electricity Institute. In August 2022, he returned to the position of General Manager at Correos de Costa Rica, standing out for his leadership capacity and strategic vision.
In addition to his achievements in business management, Rojas Cartín has provided specialized consulting in reform and modernization, as well as in the field of e-commerce in countries such as Ecuador, Nicaragua and Mexico. Likewise, he has shared his experience as a speaker in various international forums.
With a career that dates back to 1986 starting out in the public sector, he has contributed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Infocommunication and Technology (INFOCOM) during the year 2021 until June 2022, demonstrating his commitment to the development and advancement of his professional sector.
